However, we recommend living with a HOST FAMILY. It is a great way to experience the Australian lifestyle. You can practice your English in a comfortable and friendly home environment. The host family assists you in making friends and in many other ways.

On your first day at the College, the host family assists you with transport and helps you with local buses or directions for walking or cycling to the College. No host family lives further than 15 minutes by car.

A friendly staff member meets you at Brisbane International Airport, helps with money exchange and drives you to Noosa along the beautiful coast road.

HOMESTAY PROGRAM

Homestay plays a very important part in the College's learning program. Australia is a multi-cultural society and offers the opportunity to exchange cultural knowledge and build international friendships. All our host families are interested in cultural exchange and welcome people from all over the world.

By staying with a host family you receive support and information you need while staying in Australia. Our homestay families:

• provide full board and lodging with 3 meals daily
• involve you in activities such as sporting clubs, local events, social events and hobbies
• allow you to become a family member and to join in community activities

AU-PAIR PROGRAM

The Au-Pair program is designed for students (18 - 30 years of age) who want to work for and live with an Australian family. As an au-pair student you:

• enrol for a minimum period of 12 weeks full-time English at the College; and
• provide 12 hours of work each week to the family. Weekends are normally free.

In exchange for these hours you receive full board and lodging free of charge.

To qualify for this program you should have an intermediate level of English, sufficient to communicate with your host family.
